  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in mechatronics engineering, automation, or a related field, preferably in a metal manufacturing or industrial automation environment.
  • Skills & Knowledge:
    • Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and software systems and how they interact.
    • Proficiency in PLC programming, industrial control systems, and automation software (e.g., Siemens, Allen-Bradley).
    • Familiarity with CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) for designing mechanical parts and assemblies.
    • Experience with robotics and automation systems used in manufacturing processes.
    • Knowledge of industrial sensors, actuators, and instrumentation used in metal manufacturing.
    • Ability to troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and software issues in complex systems.
    • Experience with system simulation, motion control, and data analysis tools.
    • Familiarity with industry standards and safety regulations in manufacturing.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a creative and practical approach to engineering challenges.
  • Project Management: Ability to manage multiple projects, coordinate tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams and provide technical support.
  • Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail, ensuring designs and systems are optimized for efficiency, safety, and reliability.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with robotics, CNC programming, or additive manufacturing in a metal fabrication environment.
  • Familiarity with predictive maintenance techniques and condition monitoring systems.
  • Advanced programming skills in languages like Python, C++, or Ladder Logic.

Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to machinery, high noise levels, and industrial conditions.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform hands-on troubleshooting and maintenance activities.
  • Comfort with wearing personal protective equipment (PPE) as required in the manufacturing setting.
Work Environment:
This position is based in a manufacturing environment with a mix of office and floor-based work. The role may require occasional visits to production sites to oversee installations, troubleshooting, or optimization efforts.

    • a person who was discharged or released from active duty because of a service-connected disability.
  • A “recently separated veteran” means any veteran during the three-year period beginning on the date of such veteran's discharge or release from active duty in the U.S. military, ground, naval, or air service.
  • An “active duty wartime or campaign badge veteran” means a veteran who served on active duty in the U.S. military, ground, naval or air service during a war, or in a campaign or expedition for which a campaign badge has been authorized under the laws administered by the Department of Defense.

Voluntary Self-Identification of Disability
Voluntary Self-Identification of Disability Form CC-305
OMB Control Number 1250-0005
Expires 04/30/2026
Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
