The Die Setter will be responsible for setting up, aligning, and adjusting dies on stamping and forming equipment to ensure accurate, high-quality production. This role is essential to maintaining efficient operations, minimizing scrap, and supporting safety standards in a fast-paced production environment.

The Die Setter will be responsible for setting up, aligning, and adjusting dies on stamping and forming equipment to ensure accurate, high-quality production. This role is essential to maintaining efficient operations, minimizing scrap, and supporting safety standards in a fast-paced production environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install and align dies on stamping presses according to specifications.
- Perform die adjustments and calibrations to ensure proper operation and part quality.
- Conduct trial runs and make necessary modifications to achieve precise tolerances.
- Collaborate with maintenance and production teams to troubleshoot equipment and tooling issues.
- Maintain die setup records and document tooling adjustments for future reference.
- Ensure proper safety protocols are followed, including lockout/tagout procedures.
- Assist in routine maintenance and cleaning of dies and related equipment.
- Train and support operators on die operation and safety procedures.
- Monitor production runs to detect and correct issues promptly.
- High school diploma or GED required; technical or trade school training is a plus.
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience as a Die Setter or Tooling Technician, preferably in metal stamping or forming.
- Experience with progressive, transfer, or coil-fed dies is highly desirable.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to read blueprints, die diagrams, and schematics.
- Proficiency with precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges).
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Commitment to safety, quality, and efficiency in all work tasks.
- Familiarity with coil-fed press lines, uncoilers, straighteners, and servo feeders.
- Experience in high-volume or automotive stamping environments.
- Ability to work overtime or flexible shifts as production demands.
